Sun Safety

WDSS is a SunSmart School and require all students to wear broad-brimmed hats when outside.

This policy is enforced during Terms 1 and 4. If a student has no hat, they will be asked to stay inside or in the shade.

There are school uniform hats available at Steers.Co, however any hat which has a suitably protective brim is acceptable.

You can learn more about how being a SunSmart school helps protect the health of your child at the SunSmart website.

Thank you for helping your child learn to protect their health in the sun!
