Elise Aggenbach has been appointed to continue in the role of Acting Principal for 2026.

As many of you know, Elise has been serving as Acting Principal throughout 2026 and has provided strong leadership, stability and support to our students, staff and families. Following a recruitment and selection process, Elise has been successful in securing the Acting Principal position for the remainder of 2026.

Elise’s knowledge of our school, her commitment to inclusive education and student wellbeing and the strong relationships she has built across our community place her in an excellent position to continue leading Wangaratta District Specialist School during this period.

On behalf of the School Council, I congratulate Elise on her appointment and thank her for her ongoing dedication and leadership.

We also extend our best wishes to Alysha and hope she enjoys a well deserved period of Long Service Leave.
