WDSS is a SunSmart school, and our school policy states that all students are expected to wear broad brimmed hats when outside. This policy is enforced during Terms 1 and 4. If a student has no hat, they will be asked to stay indoors or in the shade.

There are school uniform hats at Steers but any hat which has a brim is suitable. Wearing hats is a health issue and we are trying to educate our students to be SunSmart.

You can find more information about the benefits of being SunSmart in the schools section of the SunSmart website,

here ---> http://www.sunsmart.com.au/childcare_and_schools

WDSS has a compulsory school uniform policy. It is a school expectation that ALL STUDENTS will wear a full school uniform.

Our uniform comprises a black polo shirt with the school logo and grey shorts or slacks and black shoes.

A school polo fleece windcheater is also available.

Uniforms can be purchased from

Steer clothing, 52 Norton Street, Wangaratta.

You can visit their website here ---> http://steerclothing.com.au/

Alternatively, shirts can be purchased from other outlets and taken to Steers for embroidering.
